Today is the national observance of Boss's Day. To some this is a "Hallmark Holiday" used for nothing more than padding the pockets of the already well to do greeting card industry. For others, this is the one time of year where you can brown-nose to your content - openly and unashamedly. Then there are the sentimental types who actually believe that this day should be used to genuinely honor their boss.
I like to think that those of us who work for Jarrod wouldn't be so narrow-minded, so vision-less (so I like hyphenated words, big deal), or so devoid of thought that we would buy into any one of the above. I believe that we will take full advantage of all three!
So Hal and I talked about it and we created this blog so that all of us who work for him can post comments (brown-nosing or otherwise) to let him know how much we appreciate working with him on a daily basis.

I have reported directly to Jarrod for a very short period of time within the short period of time that I have been employed by Freight. That being said, I just want you to know that although I am so cheap that the best I can come up with on Boss's day is a blog that cost me virtually nothing, I really appreciate the support that you have shown me since day one. I always feel that I can talk to you on a personal or proffessional basis and I will be treated with respect and kindness. If I had an oppertunity to create the boss I worked for I would model that person after the qualities I've seen in you. Thank you for everything.

HAPPY BOSS'S DAY JARROD!!!!
With my review coming up shortly, I would like to take this opportunity to GENUINELY state what a pleasure it is to now be working under your fine tutelage. You inspire me each and every day (OK, may have overshot that a bit, but you get the point).
Being that I worked under him for a majority of the year, I would also like to take the opportunity to give a shout out to my former Boss, Scott Graves. Yo Scott!!!
Finally, on such a momentous occasion, I think its only fitting that we remain extrremely positive and not dwell on the negative. That being said, while working on my review, Jarrod, please disregard any negatives that Scott may inform you of, and focus wholeheartedly on the positive. It's definitely a much healthier approach and will ultimately make you feel better in the end.
Almost forgot. Can someone please fix the contrast on that photo of Kris and his Cake. With the glare off the cake as well as Kris's dome, I can hardly make out a darn thing!!! :-)
Once again, HAPPY BOSS'S DAY!!!
Doug
I have worked for Jarrod Brown off and on for over 7 years. He has been a great boss!
HAPPY BOSS'S DAY!!!
Jarrod has been my boss (directly and indirectly) ever since we merged Viking and American Freightways into Fedex Freight back in 2001. He puts up with my tirades, calms me when I get too wound up and thankfully he doesn't Micro Manage. It has been a pleasure working with you and for you, Jarrod, and hopefully it will continue well into the future.

Happy Bosses Day!
I've worked for many different bosses through the years and I can honestly say Jarrod is one of the best! Overshadowed by only one other boss, my wife! Hey, I know who the real boss is!

Happy Bosses Day!
Since I am a newby to Jarrod and my review is not for some six months I will keep it short.
I just want to say thanks for keeping us positive in a very tuff situation. Anytime I have dealt with you in the short period of time it helps to get the truth, and feelings from someone who has been through these tuff times before.
Thanks for the support.
I too would like to give a shout out to Scott for the only boss that I do know at Watkins\Fedex. Thanks for being there when I needed an ear to chew on. I know that it was not easy. And you might want to warn Jarrod.
Thanks to both for being great bosses.
Jaimy
